Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee, build and strengthen overall Play Engineering capabilities, productivity and performance & results
• Own and drive strategic planning & portfolio delivery plan and management across all projects/ products/ platforms across Play Engineering
• Drive people/ resource & financial overview, planning and estimates, (in collaboration with Finance and other stakeholders as relevant)
• Develop & drive talent strategy and operations (build/ buy/ borrow situations and decisions) across all domains
• Drive prioritization and productivity for Play Engineering leader team and the wider Play Engineering organisation
• Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to the immediate team of business analysts/ specialists; engage, motivate and make sure team is led to perform at their best and strongly collaborate across the organisation
• Fulfil all relevant people leader responsibilities
• Optimize and improve Play Engineering tools & processes, internal and cross-functional with Creative Play Lab and other stakeholders
• Nurture a culture of experimentation, learning and fast adaptation
• Embrace complexity and make it a competitive advantage
• Develop and drive business proposals relevant to Play Engineering

Play your part in our team succeeding
This role is a key member of the Play Engineering Leadership Team, under the Creative Play Lab (CPL) organisation. CPL is part of the Product & Marketing Development (PMD) area.
Creative Play Lab leads Product & Marketing Innovation in the LEGO Group, with an agile mindset and abilities with the purpose of seizing opportunities fast, create pilots, dodging threats and stay relevant for kids and adults alike and create the best possible experiences for them.
We create innovative play experiences through the development software & hardware for complete life-cycle utilizing the newest technology with a dedicated focus on reusability and scalability in our technology platforms.
We work closely together with internal and external partners to enable build and play experiences with focus on innovating the play & build experience with new technology.
The build and play experience will be enabled in platforms that strategically will secure the LEGO Group a competitive advantage many years to come.
We are working with an agile mindset. We seek to enable our consumers with innovative play experiences. Our objective is to develop true LEGO® experiences by bridging physical and digital build and play experiences.

Do you have what it takes?
As Head of Centre of Excellence in the Play Engineering organisation you presumably have an education or relevant hands-on experience in Business Management/ Administration, Commerce, Organisational Psychology, Science, Information Technologies or other similar fields.
You have more than 10+ years of experience in coaching and/or building & leading cross-functional, high performing teams

In addition, you:
• Are a self-starter with a can-do attitude, excellent communication and motivational skills as well as the entrepreneurial spirit necessary to drive innovation & motivation in the team
• Ability to build strong trust and relationships; create open & safe spaces and culture where personal growth & development thrives
• Comfortable with conflict and skilled in facilitating resolution of conflict
• Articulate; has ability to speak candidly with respect
• Fluency in English
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic and holistic thinker with attention to details
• Ability and willingness to travel as necessary (~10-20 days per year)

As a person you can navigate in an always changing environment and have strong resilience and stamina to thrive in complex, ambiguous, uncertain environments and drive team success.

Also, you are
• Knowledge of agile related theories and practices, such as Complexity Theory, Product Management & Discovery, Scrum, Lean, SAFe, LeSS, Cynefin, S3
• Radiates energy, passion and compassion
• Expert in understanding and navigating large, complex, multinational organisations with success through strong trust and relationships.
