Do you want to be the Lead that bring the product of BrickLink, the world's largest online marketplace to buy and sell LEGO® parts, closer to our other digital consumer products? Are you already a part of the LEGO Group, and want to challenge yourself as an ambassador and build the bridge between BrickLink and AFOL & Family technology in a role that requires you can work in both Denmark and California?
Then it might be you we are looking for

Core Responsibilities:
•Be periodically on-premises with BrickLink in Irvine, California as part of short-term assignment (STA)
•Bridge knowledge between BrickLink team in California and Adult Engagement teams in Denmark
•Active participation in Product Architecture and activities together with Product Teams and Stakeholders to enable business ambitions
•Ensuring that target architecture and implementation direction aligns with Architecture principles
•Bridge between engineers located in Irvine, California, and teams/engineers in Denmark
•Focus on synergies and leveraging services and enablers from other teams to optimize value output
•Knowledge sharing and capture with BrickLink engineers
•Hands on development where advantageous to progress transition

We want to bring the products of BrickLink closer to our other digital consumer products and how we develop products.
This role is instrumental in making this a reality, by being the ambassador and bridge between BrickLink engineering and AFOL & Family technology.
This position is permanent but includes a Short-term Assignment of 18 months where you are expected to be in Irvine 40-50% of the time.
The cadence could in example be 4-6 weeks in Irvine then 4-6 weeks in Denmark etc. But that will be agreed based on what is optimal.

Do you have what it takes?
The position require that you have minimum one year of employment at LEGO in Software Engineering position and interested in short term assignment abroad (United States).

In addition, you:
•Have a software engineering background with experience either as full stack or backend engineer
•Experience with logical architecture, Domain Driven Design and loosely coupled components
•Effective communication skills with ability to get people involved on complex technical decisions and able to drive the teams on complex technical decisions
•Ability to bridge and connect across teams and roles
•Experience with cloud native applications and microservice architecture

As a person you take initiative and is proactive. You have a wide network with other engineers and product areas within the LEGO Group and comfortable with stakeholder communication
It will be a plus if you also have experience with
•Security in web-based solutions
•Oauth and OpenID
•Consumer facing digital products

This role will after an initial period in Denmark move to California (US) on a short-term assignment for one to one and a half year. During this period, some travelling to Denmark is expected. (Around every 4th - 6th week)
It is therefore required that you are eligible for L-1-visum.
