Cloud Administrator to Semco Maritime
Are you a skilled Cloud administrator who is good at creating an overview and talking to the business about IT solutions? Can you get the infrastructure running? And do you have a good knowledge of Azure and management of special applications which have been migrated in the Cloud? Then this position might be for you!
Your position
Semco is currently migrating the IT infrastructure from an on-premise solution hosted with a 3rd party datacentre provider to Azure. The migration is planned to complete in 2023. As
part of the migration a solid design has been made however when moving into operations the platform needs to be administered and continuously improved.
Among other things, the cloud administrator must participate in this migration to Azure.

Your position

Among other things, the cloud administrator must participate in this migration to Azure.
Your tasks & responsibilities
You will be a key player in the ongoing Azure Governance. You must also create and manage all aspects of users, groups, manage support tickets and to continuously monitor the usage and cost to ensure Semco has an Azure platform that is sized correctly
Another part of the role is also outgoing towards the organization: The responsibility also includes establishing and running a CCoE (Cloud Center of Excellence) encompassing various stakeholders with focus on solutions, security, usage, and cost.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
• Monitor and manage the Azure platform to be cost-effective, secure, and compliant.
• Configuring Azure services to meet the needs of the organization – this requires
ability to understand business needs and translate it into Azure Services in the current design.
• Managing and deploying Azure solutions
• Maintaining Azure profiles and subscriptions
• Troubleshooting and resolving Azure services-related issues
You have an optimal use of Microsoft tech-stack (Azure (VMs, SaaS, Paas and other Azure native functionality), Office365, Security, Endpoints etc) and manage access to all
administrative features in Azure Active Directory, as well as services that federate to Azure Active Directory.
The job also consists of configuring long-term archiving to maintain corporate compliance, as well as encryption of data in transit, at rest and in use. An important part of the job is also creating protection for Azure Active Directory accounts from being compromised as well as reducing the attack surface for all your Azure resources.

You have practical experience of working as an administrator and you have "hands-on" experience from working with infrastructure. You have good troubleshooting and investigation skills and are a team player. You are curious and self- driven as a person.
You are used to work in a complex setup and have experience in migrating many physical machines at once.

- Overview of Azure functions and possibility including Networks, VMs, Azure functions etc
- Monitoring of resources and logs
- Configure, monitor and manage VM and/or Azure functions for Optimum Cost, Performance, and Security.
- Backing up VMs and potentially providing Fail-over Recovery and efficient restore when needed.
- Securing Data against unauthorized access
- Experience with tagging, resource groups and Powershell scripting
